Science Center of Iowa Homeschool Workshops
With hands-on activities for students and parents, the Science Center of Iowa Homeschool Workshops offer a unique opportunity for homeschoolers to enhance their curriculum through STEM programming led by SCI staff.
Workshops are scheduled 11:00am-Noon on Thursdays in February. Registration includes two concurrent workshops, one for youth and one for their parents/caregivers, exploring the day's theme.
NEW in 2026: TWO workshop levels, one for ages 5-14 and another for ages 11-18.

Cost per student:
- Members = $15
- Non-Members = $25
Cost for parents:Â No additional cost for parents that register for the workshop*
*Only those that are registered, both students and parents, can attend the workshop. Children younger than 5 years old attending the workshop do not need to be registered. Registered participants receive admission to the Science Center of Iowa for the remainder of the day.
