Anthony Buttacy
Anthony Buttacy brings more than twenty years of experience and is deeply committed to cultivating strong, mission-driven Christian education.
He is passionate about growing leaders at every level — equipping students to discover their calling and empowering adults to lead with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Today, Anthony serves as a consultant, providing strategic planning, leadership development, and growth strategy. His practical experience and faith-centered perspective allow him to connect vision with actionable steps that move organizations forward.
Actively involved in local church ministry, Anthony is committed to serving the broader Christian education community. He and his wife, Donna, have two children.
Ellie Stangl
Ellie Stangl has been serving Homeschool Iowa as the Executive Director since December of 2025.
The second oldest of twelve, Ellie was homeschooled through high school with an education fueled by the desire to know God’s heart and make Him known. This eventually led her to mission work abroad and prison, street, and camp ministries here in the United States.
Throughout her twenties, Ellie worked as a supervisor for a Crisis Pregnancy Center and has also taught in both private and public schools.
More recently, Ellie has served as a legislative aide for a Nebraska state senator and worked as a doula, helping mothers through the birthing process. She is also a foster mom.
The passion Ellie has for bringing people together to support a greater goal creates a powerful networking energy within the Homeschool Iowa team.
Pastor Josh Daggett
Josh Daggett is a homeschool father of five daughters and the lead and preaching pastor at Living Waters in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
Since Jesus became his Lord and Savior, He has led Josh into ministry, with primary gifts of preaching and evangelism. Josh loves communicating God's Word to people.
