Living History Farms Homeschool Day

The Spring Living History Farms Homeschool Day will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 9:00am-4:00pm at Living History Farms in Urbandale. LHF members attend free. Nonmembers can access discounted admission if purchased before the event.

You and your children will have the opportunity to tour the museum’s many historic areas, participate in hands-on activities, complete a special activity sheet, and most of all have fun! Living History Farms suggests that you plan at least 3–4 hours for your experience.

You’re welcome to bring a picnic lunch, or to leave the museum and return later in the day.

Special activities will be offered at the 1700 Ioway Farm, the 1850 Pioneer Fam, the 1900 Horse-Powered Farm, the Flynn Mansion, the Tangen Home, the Drug Store, the Print Shop, the Broom Works, and the Blacksmith.
