2012 NICHE Conference Heartland AEA Professional Development Activity for Teacher License Renewal Credit

Teacher Recertification Credit Class Requirements:
1. NICHE Conference registration Either pre-registration by mail or walk-in registration onsite. NICHE Conference registration fees are as follows: NICHE member, online registration $40 NICHE member, onsite registration $45 Non-member, online registration $60 Non-member, onsite registration $65 Special Offer (membership/registration) online $65 Special Offer (membership/registration) onstie $70 Online conference attendee registration available in April. 2. Heartland AEA Professional Development Activity registration The Heartland AEA professional development activity fee is $25. This fee is paid directly to Heartland AEA. (Heartland AEA registration may be completed online or by mail.) [Please read further details provided by Heartland AEA in the additional information section below.] 3. Attendance of at least 15 contact hours of collaborative learning at the NICHE Conference - including the on-site Orientation Class, Friday, June 8 at 9:00 a.m. 4. Completion, submission and acceptance of the course assignment. Course assignment packets may be picked up at the Orientation Class in Room 318 on Vet's middle level.
Please Note: Heartland AEA has assured us that successful completion of multiple NICHE Conference teacher re-certification credit classes are recognized by the certifying agency as multiple, distinct credits. This is because each NICHE conference is unique and each NICHE teacher re-certification class title has a distinct year included in the title. While we would urge you to diversify your credit class choices as much as possible, it is our understanding that you can take the NICHE conference class more than once for distinct credit.

Below are the directions to register online for license renewal credit through Heartland. Participants are to mail their own registration form and payment to Heartland if paying with a check (see instructions below).
NOTE: Participants must be registered by the close of the conference (Saturday, June 9, 2012). To maintain the participant's security, instructors are asked not to handle registration forms and payments.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT-- 1. To register for credit and paying with a credit card, please go online to www.aea11.k12.ia.us. This class will be listed on the Heartland webiste in April. when online NICHE Conference registration is available. Under the Quick Links Area, click on Professional Development Catalog. This is the most secure way to register with a credit card.
2. On the catalog search page you can search by title

or scroll down to the bottom of the page to "Or Enter an Activity Number" and enter the activity number:
On the Activity Detail page, under “Fee Option” choose:
o $25.00 -License Renewal Credit
Remember....You can only register for credit online with a credit card.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT After you click Add to Cart, please verify or correct your personal information and click Submit. On the Shopping Cart page: o Click “Pay-Credit Card.” This will take you to the credit card site. Once you have completed the payment process, click the button “Important: Your registration is NOT COMPLETE until you CLICK HERE” once to complete your registration and then wait for confirmation
You may verify successful completion of the registration process by returning to the “Search for Activities” page and click “To view your class history and current enrollment Click here…”
CHECK OR MONEY ORDER PAYMENT To register for license renewal credit and paying by check or money order, please print off and use the registration form that you can download from www.aea11.k12.ia.us (located under Professional Development...."Printable Forms").
